Mercedes' US EQ models - EQB, EQE, EQS - spec a conservative onboard charger of about 9.6 kW (40 amps) through a J1772port. On the EQB's ~66 kWh pack that is unremarkable; on the EQS's ~108 kWh flagship battery it makes the overnight window worth actually planning, because the big pack at the modest rate uses most of it.
How long it takes and what it costs
At 9.6 kW, a 10-to-80-percent top-up runs about 4.5 hours on the EQB, ~6.5 on the EQE, and about 8 hours on the EQS - still an overnight, but one that wants the car plugged in by evening rather than midnight. The charger to use
A 40-amp chargermatches the 9.6 kW rate exactly - a 48-amp unit adds headroom the car won't use today, worth it only if the garage's next EV might. Nightly plug-in discipline (and off-peak scheduling) suits the EQS pattern especially well, and a NACS-to-J1772 adapter opens Tesla-style equipment.
