Volvo's EVs and Polestar's share engineering, and helpfully for charger shopping they share an answer: across the XC40/C40 Recharge era, the EX40-class cars and the Polestar 2, the onboard charger accepts roughly 11 kW (about 48 amps) through a J1772 port. One wall-charger spec covers the whole family.

The charger to use
A 48-amp charger gives every car in the family its full rate. Two-EV Volvo/Polestar households are the textbook case for power-sharing chargers, and a NACS-to-J1772 adaptercovers Tesla-style hardware. Newer models are transitioning to native NACS ports - check your specific car's port, then buy the connector to match.
