Two features people conflate: load balancing vs power sharing
They sound alike and solve related problems, but they are different mechanisms, and knowing which one you need saves money:
- Dynamic load management (load balancing) is about one charger and the whole house. A meter or current sensor watches the total load at your panel; when the oven, dryer and AC are all running, the charger backs off so the service is never overloaded, then it ramps back up when the house quiets down.
