The Taycan's headline is its 800-volt DC fast-charging - but at home, on AC, it is deliberately ordinary: the standard onboard charger accepts about 9.6 kW (40 amps) through a J1772port. Porsche has offered a faster optional onboard AC charger on some builds and years, so check your car's specs before buying the wall unit - the option changes the right answer.
How long it takes and what it costs
On the ~93 kWh Performance Battery Plus at 9.6 kW, a 10-to-80-percent top-up runs about 6.5 hours - a comfortable overnight, adding roughly 22 miles of range per hour. At the US average rate that top-up costs about $11; run your own numbers below.

The charger to use
For the standard 9.6 kW car, a 40-amp charger is a perfect match - a 48-amp unit adds nothing this build can use. If your build sheet shows the faster AC option, size up accordingly. Either way a NACS-to-J1772 adapteropens Tesla-style chargers, and the Taycan's 800V architecture means road trips lean on DC anyway - home is for the cheap overnight miles.
